The Jubilee of Penny Postage
South Kensington Announcement

Prior to the South Kensington Exhibition, small flyer type announcements were prespared. Perhaps these were put up at the various Post Offices in and around London, other locations and as 'hand outs'. No mention of this is made by either R.C. Tombs or A. E. Chambre in the "Account" published later that year.

The size of the flyer is 5 1/2" wide by 8 5/8" high. It's on a thin 'common' paper intended to last just long enough to advertise the Exhibition. The ink color used was a Deep Blue. It reacts to the scanner's fluorecsent lamp and turns an Ultramarine, thus the b/w image for clarity. Printing was done by W. P. Griffith And Sons, Limited.

Tickets may now be obtained, price 7s. 6d each, on application to the Hon. Secretary, Jubilee Committee, General Post Office, and at the several District and Branch Post Offices in London, also at the usual Libraries and Agents'.
Uniform, Levée or Evening Dress.
The doors of the Museum will be opened at 7 p.m.
and carriages may be ordered for 12 o'clock.
