First Demonstration Flight

New F-16's for the Thunderbirds

One of ten covers prepared by the Southern Nevada Stamp Club to salute the first public demonstration flight of the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds in their new F-16 aircraft.

All the pilots flying that day signed the back of the cover. Note the inverted "5" - this is the pilot who flew the inverted pass over the runway.

Additional covers were serviced - but not signed - for fund raising by the club. Complimentary covers were given to the pilots and crew.

The souvenir program card supplied by the Air Force.
